If you are looking for a quiet and safe place to enjoy a family meal in the summer months, the Dog and Duck offers a patio area and garden alongside the River Granta. A large parking area is provided and there is easy access for prams and wheelchairs. Extensively relandscaped in 2004, the area is shaded by riverside trees. In summer, hanging baskets and flower tubs provide a colourful display. Seating is provided by solid wood benches and attractive wrought-iron furniture.

  


All kinds of birdlife are to be seen. In recent time, a pair of kingfishers were spotted, as well as wrens, moorhens and an array of finches. Mallard ducks are daily visitors to the garden where they are fed by children and adults alike!

Linton boasts many attractions for families. The village playground is located across the recreation ground behind the pub and there are several short walks to be enjoyed following the river through the village. Linton Zoo is close by as is the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.
